Well, I just had a cookie that I brought to work with me. I don't know if the bread flour would add much for me.. I love these things! I thought they were too big when I made them, but 1 cookie is just right! Ok, I could go with a smaller cookie, but I love these things! (I know, I already said that).

Curt I'm so glad you tried and enjoyed the recipe. I've tried many and these are definitely my ideal chocolate chip cookie. My search ended when I found this recipe!

I LOVE cinnamon, and I'm sure it would add a great touch to these cookies. I'll have to try that next time. As far as the butter goes, I think the melted butter helps break down the granulated sugar a bit so the dough is smoother and not so grainy from the sugar crystals. I think all of that prevents the cookies from hardening as much after they've been taken out of the oven. Also Curt, I like to use bread flour or these cookies. It makes more a puffier cookie, that doesn't flatten out as much during baking.

The one thing I like to add to chocolate chip cookies is a touch of cinnamon... Chewy cookies with that hint of cinnamon sound great! Tell me... why do you think the melted butter would make a difference?
