I found your recipe very interesting. I am an "improvisational" baker. I love to make have new taste experiences and plan to try out your recipe with a few changes. I will use orange zest and leave out the rosemary. I am not too sure about using rosemary in a sweet cake. I will also chop the pine nuts. I am curious about your use of metric measurements. You made it sound as if you are living in the U.S.A. where cups and lbs. are the norm and not the metric system. I am not used to converting Celsius to Fahrenheit. Grams to lbs. is easier but still a pain. What is your reasoning for using metric measurements here in the U.S.? Makes little sense to me.

Haven't actually made this cake, you just popped up as I was looking for information on Chestnut flour! My blog deals in food allergies and I'm about to trial a gluten, dairy and egg-free coffee and chestnut cake. Wish me luck and I;ll be back to visit soon! Pigx
