I was referring to British cookers which are quite measly when it comes to heat! Start at 450f and then turn it down to 400f.

					<description>Ok, as a beginning baker, when you say to turn your oven as high as it can get to start... My oven goes to 600 F... is that too high?  Or should I start there, then come down to 350 or whatever is called for?</description>
