I was convinced this wouldnt work (my first gluten-free baking experiment) but they are yummy! Honestly i couldnt tell that they didnt contain wheat. I didnt have baking soda so i used 1 tsp baking powder, and in one batch I added a tsp of organic cocoa powder. I used 4 tabes of canola oil. THANKS

Yum! Wanted something light and wheat free to go with today's BBQ and ice cream dessert. I didn't have coconut or raisins or choc. chips, so I added pecans, a dash of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, and then I baked in my convection oven. Chewy and delicious. I defy my guests to miss wheat!

These cookies were delicious!! Next time I think I will add a little less brown sugar, but overall they were great. My wheat loving family had no idea they were wheat free and thats a real challenge.
I ommitted the coconut and added raisins, because of supplies on hand. Looking forward to trying them with coconut.

I am also on a dairy and wheat free diet. This recipe looks like it is worth a try.
On our summer holidays we visited The Kootenay Bakery and Cafe in Nelson, B.C. Canada. My husband bought me the most amazing oat flour chocolate chip cookie. I thought that I would be able to find a recipe online once we got home, but haven't been able to find anything like it. It was oat flour, whole oats and chocolate chips. Where do these bakeries get their recipes that work so well?

Great recipe. I substituted the oil with 1/4 c. coconut oil, and it seemed to work. My recipe was a little crumbly, but I may need to experiment with the oil I used. Thanks! I have a wheat allergic and milk allergic little guy at home and I think he will love these.

Awesome! I have just begun to trial egg replacers, but really have little experience with them. If you like lower sugar cookies, this vegan oatmeal raisin cookie packs a hearty punch - http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com/2006/10/01/home-sweet-home/

Love the recipe .. just to add an incentive for those of us with the health / allergy challenges.. I cut down on the sugar (used a little maple sugar.. sweeter and not need as much.
Plus I used a flax seed recipe to eliminate the egg.
Great great.. love it.. thanks so much
