At which stores can these be found? Buying online, shipping on such a small item doubles the cost. I have called around and haven't found it at any local stores.

The thing is, I'm more concerned about thickness. I use a pair of 1/8-inch wooden dowels placed on wither side of the dough as I roll it out. When the polling pin is resting on the dowels instead of the dough then I know the dough is the right thickness and is UNIFORM.

Thanks for your faith! This little thing is actually simple to clean, to be honest with you. I've used it four times now and clean up has taken less than a minute. I don't roll it all the way to the zipper, so haven't had a problem with dough stuck in the zipper.

I have heard of these bags before and I'm sure they do help but I'd much rather deal with a board to clean than something that has pie dough in the zipper. Alton Brown uses a ziplock bag but you are limited to that size. Once you have enough pie crust under your belt, both literally and figuratively, you can sneak out of the bag, I have faith in you.
