Video Learning: Decorating Sugar Cookies

Today’s video is about using fondant to decorate sugar cookies. I think what really caught my eye about this video is her use of the pasta roller to roll out the fondant. Not sure why, I’ve seen the larger dough sheeters bakeries use in action so a scaled down version shouldn’t have surprised me.

The woman in the video is Anne Heap, founder of Pink Cake Box in Denville, NJ. She is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City. Check out the website, there are many, many wonderfully decorated cakes and cookies there. My personal favorite is the Van Gogh “Starry Night” cake.

A word of warning while watching this video: the electric motor she uses on the pasta roller is rather loud so be prepared for that.

Enjoy!

We noticed the pasta machine was unusually loud to after reviewing the video. More so on the video then in real life :)

Anyway thanks for the link!

Anne

No problem. It’s a great instructional video. Thank you for putting it out there for the rest of us!

Great video. She could have said ‘fondant’ a couple more times.
