Most of the time, fudge is a wildly good bazaar seller-- but at my church, primarily populated by seniors, you couldn't even sell it by the piece, no one would touch it. The most popular thing there was individual quiches and salmon pies. Chocolate anything is usually a good choice for all ages. Have something sugarless for those who whine "oh but I don't eat sweets". Consider other special diets too such as gluten free, vegan, etc. You also have to know your clientele. Whenever I bake, I always want to throw in some "twist" or something unique, whereas I feel like bake sale goodies are all about traditional recipes. Oh well -- maybe by the time I have kids I will have some perfect recipe I can whip up in my sleep. :-) I feel bad for my poor (future) kids.
