And I went home and baked a whole batch of them. And besides being oily and very sweet, I didn't see the appeal. The cream cheese icing rocks, of course, but would be MUCH better on carrot cake. Give me plain little fairy cakes with simple glace icing any day :-) You know, I watched the Food Network’s cooking showdown, or whatever it was called, that featured those red velvet cupcakes.
