Hello..
I'm new to this...but love baking cookies and wanted to expand to other things and reipes.
what is corn meal???

Hello, Serene!

Cornmeal is simply dried corn kernals that have been ground into a type of gritty flour. Available in white, yellow, or - more rarely - blue, cornmeal is found in three textures: fine, medium, and coarse. In baking, it is usually combined with another flour to make breads, muffins, cookies, and some types of cakes and biscotti. It's also boiled and eaten as cornmeal mush or polenta. Additionally, cornmeal may be added to waffle and pancake batter, breading for seafood, and a variety of other applications. Hope that helps!

Thanks for reading!

Best,

Yes! I love this recipe. I always add more sugar though. The amount on the canister doesn't give it a sweet taste that I like. It's great and easy to make. This corn meal is not good for fried corn bread though.
