Think Garlic Bread

Quick and easy - perfect for summer with an aperitif or a salad, excellent for those vegetarian friends at parties. Garlic Bread, which is a permanent feature on pizzarias’ menus, is often forgotten when it comes to home baking. I was reminded of its existence a couple of days ago because I lost the way to my kitchen. I know it is a bit careless, but I will find it again as soon as the new concrete, which is to be the base for the new floor, will have dried up. In the meantime, it is restaurant morning, lunch, and evening - lucky me.
A baguette is often used for the purpose of making garlic bread. I must say that I prefer mine on pizza dough, which is exactly what I got last night, so let me share this BBC recipe with you.
Ingredients
1 pizza base
2 garlic cloves, peeled
85g/3oz butter
1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 250C/500F/Gas 9.
2. Place the pizza base on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 5 minutes.
3. Place the garlic in a food processor and blitz.
4. In a small bowl, combine the garlic and butter. Add the fresh parsley.
5. Remove the pizza base from the oven and spread with the garlic butter. Sprinkle over the cayenne.
6. Return the pizza to the oven for a further minute to melt the butter.
7. Remove the garlic bread from the oven, cut into wedges and serve.
